At some point in our lives, we all need a helping hand. Vermont Comforts of Home believes being in a home environment, surrounded by familiar places and people who care about us promotes wellness. That is why we provide the support and services you need in a setting that provides the Comforts of Home.

What is Vermont Comforts of Home?

Vermont Comforts of Home is a joint venture between two organizations: Lincoln Street Inc. and Upper Valley Services. Our non-profit organizations are experienced in providing high quality, individualized home care. Operating in compliance with the regulations of the Adult Family Care program under Vermont’s Choices for Care initiative, we work to develop community-based options of care for people requiring a nursing home level of support.

Who does Vermont Comforts of Home serve?

  • Vermont residents
  • those who qualify for Medicaid, as well as those interested in a private pay option
  • those who are 18 years of age or older and require extensive assistance with any of the following: medical care, personal care, taking medications, mobility, decision-making, safely accessing the community
Marie Zura
Program Director
Marie Zura has more than 30 years of experience serving individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families. During her career, she has been a strong and vocal advocate for supporting people in their home communities. Marie has been instrumental in the creation of a number of innovative programs advancing both independence and inclusion for some of the most vulnerable in our state. Currently, as the Director of Vermont Comforts Of Home, she is incorporating her extensive knowledge of working within Vermont’s  systems of care to support older Vermonters. She is excited to promote her client-focused approach and dedication to community based care, to developing this new program.
